ABOUT THE ARTIST
THE BEGINNING
As a lifelong rockhound and outdoor enthusiast, I’ve been collecting art materials my entire life. From my childhood spent along the shores of a pristine northern Wisconsin lake to my current home in the Rockies, nature has provided me with materials that all tell a story.
THE JOURNEY
With a natural eye for pleasing aesthetics, education in classical and contemporary methodology of mosaic at The Chicago Mosaic School, as well as inspiration from many artists and mentors along the way, my art has evolved from glass mosaics to making my own tessarae from natural and found materials as well as mixed media and other forms undefined.
THE DESTINATION
I am a young-at-heart artist and have been creating art for most of my life, and mosaics for almost 20 years. I continue to learn and explore, and my art shifts and changes as I grow and awaken new artistic paths.

I am lucky enough to be able to make art in a space created just for me by my talented family. This space brings me joy, inspires me daily and reminds me of the continuity of life that runs through all my pieces.
My mobile studio was designed by my daughter, Andi Ostman, co-founder of Follow Architecture and built by my husband, Brian Mast, owner of Mast Construction.
